Ric Flair Was Married Four Times & Each Marriage Came to an End: Facts We Know About His Exes

While legendary World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler Ric Flair’s career has experienced tremendous success, his romantic life has been the opposite. He has been married four times, but none of his marriages lasted more than 25 years.

Richard Morgan Fliehr, popularly known as Ric Flair, is one of the greatest professional wrestlers, with a successful career spanning over five decades. He is a 16-time world champion and the first holder of the World Championship Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship.

In 1987, he won the National Wrestling Alliance United States Heavyweight Championship; three years later, he won his first National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Championship.

Flair’s accomplishments as a wrestler are as long as his romantic relationships. The athlete with no plans to retire has been in four official marriages, all of which have ended in divorce.

His first marriage happened in 1971 and lasted for over ten years before they split. However, his latest relationship, which began in 2018, lasted only four years as they broke up in January 2022.

Leslie Goodman

Before becoming famous, Flair married Leslie Goodman in 1971. It was his first-ever marriage, and they were together for over ten years before divorcing in 1983.

The couple welcomed two children, David and Megan. There is no information on why their marriage ended, but it was also not a media spectacle.

Elizabeth Harrell

Barely two months after his divorce, the wrestler married his second wife, the “Celebrity Wife Swap” actress Elizabeth Harrell. Despite the suddenness of their union, this became Flair’s longest marriage.

The couple were together for 23 years and welcomed two children, Reid and Charlotte. They had a bitter divorce as their marriage ended in 2006.

Tiffany VanDemark

The same year he divorced his second wife, Flair was ready to settle down again. He married the fitness instructor Tiffany VanDemark.

They were together for only three years, and according to reports, it was a tumultuous relationship, with the wrestler accusing his then-wife of abuse. Before their divorce in 2009, they had no children.

Additionally, the wrestler’s financial issues may have also caused a strain on their relationship, contributing to its swift end.

Jackie Beems

Like his previous marriages, Flair married his fourth wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Beems, the same year he divorced his third wife. Their marriage lasted for three years with no children.

During their marriage, the wrestler had accused her of abusing him. She was also reportedly arrested after allegedly attacking him, but the charges were dropped for lack of evidence.

While he accused her of abuse, she had accused him of cheating on her while they were married. She reportedly also sent threatening messages to his next wife.

Wendy Barlow

For the first time, Flair did not get married immediately after a divorce. He began dating retired professional tennis player and coach Wendy Barlow in 2013, even though they had worked together for years.

The couple had met in 1993 when she worked for the wrestler as his World Championship Wrestling valet. She was known as “Fifi the French Maid.”

Three years after dating, they got engaged, and Ric Flair tied the knot for the last time in 2018. However, the couple reportedly split early in 2022.

Inside Ric Flair’s Split With Wendy Barlow

Flair and Barlow reportedly ended their relationship in January 2022. After their split became public, the wrestler revealed they were never legally married.

According to him, they only had a ceremony in 2018 without legal backing, as they did not apply for a marriage certificate. Barlow also confirmed the news and revealed they had been living separately for six months before their separation reached the media.

When the wrestler made his statement, he revealed they unanimously decided to go their separate ways after taking some time apart.

However, he would forever love and cherish the memories they created together and be thankful for all she did to improve his life.
