Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Paddy Pimblett has been with his girlfriend, Laura Gregory, since 2011. In February 2020, the fighter went down on one knee and asked his longtime girlfriend to marry him during a trip to Thailand.
The duo are natives of Liverpool, England, and have known each other since they were teenagers. Pimblett has a massive following and many lady admirers and takes his fiancée with him everywhere he goes.
Laura Gregory and her fiancé enjoy traveling around the world, and from her social media posts, they seem to be constantly moving around. The loving couple enjoys each other’s company, and Gregory even attends her boyfriend’s fights to show her support.
Who Is Laura Gregory?
Laura Gregory is about 26 years old, having been born in 1996, and is originally a Scouse as she was born in the Liverpool side of Merseyside. There are no details about her education or employment. Still, she has gained a considerable following on Instagram, where she shares photos of herself, her family, and her friends.
Some of Gregory’s favorite things include traveling and spending time in clubs. However, those experiences do not surpass her time with her family, whom she appreciates very much. She is very close to her parents and spent the 2020 covid lockdown with them. She commented on the experience, saying:
“This year has been a blessing for me and lucky to say I got engaged in the most gorgeous way! We got our house and I got to spend sooooo much time with my gorgeous family, 7 months with my mum and dad everyday I wouldn’t change it for the world!”
Laura Became Paddy Pimblett’s Girlfriend in 2011
Laura Gregory and Paddy Pimblett began dating while they were still teenagers in 2011. Pimblett was still an amateur fighter and won his first amateur title that same year.
As they have grown into adulthood, they have spent much time hanging out with friends and traveling. On one of their travels in 2020, her boyfriend of nine years surprised her with an engagement ring.
The couple was vacationing on Phi Phi Islands in Thailand when the UFC fighter got down on one knee with a spectacular view in the background. Gregory announced the big news on Instagram with a caption that read:
“Still in complete shock! My Pad completely shocked me never did I think he had anything like this in his locker everything and more I could ever imagine! Love you always and forever.”
Paddy Pimblett
The UFC star was born on January 3, 1995. The Liverpudlian grew up in the town of Huyton, Merseyside. A UFC match that pitted Diego Sanchez and Clay Guida in 2009 influenced him to get into martial arts. The then 14-year-old started training in mixed martial arts the same year Travis Browne turned professional.
Having decided to make his living out of the sport, he had his first competitive fight three years later. In 2013, he was signed by Cage Warriors after getting a winning record of three wins and no defeats in his first there. He initially fought in the featherweight division, winning the championship in 2016.
He currently competes in the lightweight division since losing the featherweight championship in 2017. After declining two UFC invitations as he got more money from Cage Warriors, he eventually joined UFC and made his debut on the circuit in 2021. Pimblett also follows other sports and is a supporter of Liverpool FC.
Paddy Pimblett Also Has a Close Friendship with Another Woman
Although Laura Gregory is the number one lady for Paddy Pimblett, he has also formed a special bond with Molly McCann. McCann is a UFC fighter and, like Pimblett and Gregory, also a native of Liverpool. She and Gregory’s fiancé have been friends since their early days in the martial arts industry.
The two fighters are even signed to the same promotional company, Barstool Sports. According to the company’s founder, he signed both athletes because they have risen together, and it was essential for them to keep on winning and enjoying each other’s success. Pimblett told Liverpool Echo:
“Her success is massive to me. To see her winning – the fact that we can both sit there, be happy and celebrate a win together, there’s nothing like it – it’s a family business to us.”
Women like Paddy Pimblett
Paddy Pimblett has had his time in the limelight on TikTok this year. The Baddy, as he is affectionately known in the UFC circles, began trending on the social media platform as girls admired him. Some ladies said he was their type and 100%, not their type.
On Twitter, men were surprised that many women would drool over the fighter. One guy noted, “I just saw a tik tok that had 500k likes about Paddy Pimblett, and the comments were girls thirsting over him; what is going on.” Public image is vital to Pimblett as he is determined to maintain a clean look.
Two years have passed since they got engaged, but they have not had the wedding yet, and although they do not have any children of their own, they are godparents to Mary Rose, a family or friend’s baby girl. They attended her christening and were overjoyed to be given the honor of being her godparents.
With all their traveling, it may seem difficult for the couple to settle down and have a family. However, with their dog, Lenny, the two seem to be managing very well with caring for him. From Gregory’s social media posts, it is not hard to see the love between them and how much they are enjoying their lives together.
