Ryder Beer knew he wanted to pursue a musical path since he was ten, following in his sister Madison Beer’s footsteps. He slowly makes himself known in the music scene as he creates beats for hip-hop tracks.
Years after Madison Beer’s entry into the music scene comes another talent in the business from her family. Her brother, Ryder, is all too familiar with the industry’s ropes after watching his sister’s career unfold.
Ryder realized his talent early on but only seriously pursued a music career at 18, albeit slightly different from his sister. The rising star’s creativity shines from behind the scenes as a producer.
Ryder Beer Had Loved Making Music since He Was a Little Boy
At a young age, Ryder already exhibited signs of his talent for creating music. While sitting on a highchair, little Ryder would tap his fingers during meals, making beats that no one knew would later become a full-blown career.
He earned the moniker “tapper boy” from his elementary school karate coach, who always noticed him tapping his fingers. Eventually, his unconscious hobby turned into a skill, finger drumming. Ryder said:
“I took drum lessons growing up, but when I discovered finger drumming, it won me over. So that, combined with producing beats, has become my passion.”
His environment also contributed to his interest in music. Growing up exposed to songs of different genres allowed him to count beats and familiarize himself with rhythm. By age ten, Ryder knew creating music would be his work.
Living in this generation, Ryder draws inspiration from some of the biggest names in hip-hop, including Kanye West and Drake. However, when it comes to collaborations, he aspires to work with J. Cole and Jay-Z.
Ryder Beer Is Currently Studying Music
At 13, Ryder picked up his belongings and left home in New York City to support his sister’s dreams in Los Angeles. He had to make a difficult move with his brother and mom.
However, he returned to the east coast after his acceptance into Berklee College of Music in 2019. Announcing his milestone on Instagram, Ryder credited his family, friends, and mentors with helping him reach his dreams as he pursued a degree in music.
Through his social media, Ryder shares glimpses of beats he has produced, solo and in collaboration with other artists. One of his posts even sparked curiosity from fans who wondered if he would team up with his sister.
Ryder Beer Looks up to His Sister
It’s no secret that Ryder hopes to one day share a studio with Madison, as he revealed in a previous interview.
Ryder also shared that his sister’s music has influenced and inspired him in many ways. “She’s always very authentic to herself and learned at a young age to stay true to herself,” he said. The messages sent through Madison’s songs also add significant value to her work, which Ryder admires.
Ryder Beer’s Tight Bond with His Sister
More than being his inspiration, Madison is Ryder’s best friend and confidant. The siblings share a close relationship that has stemmed from their childhood.
“My brother has really always been there for me and has always been somebody I can go to. We have so much fun together, and he’s just amazing,” Madison said of Ryder.
The siblings once shared a joint Instagram account that chronicled their sweet childhood moments and interactions. The account has been inactive for years; nevertheless, the strength of their relationship has not waned.
In 2020, Madison Beer marked a significant milestone, revealing that she has been clean from self-harm for a year, a progress Ryder was undoubtedly proud of.
