Movie star Dominique Fishback has shared how intentional she is about her love life. She is a big manifester and is currently manifesting a husband, thanks to a book she has read.
Dominique Fishback is an award-winning Hollywood star who is also romantic at heart. She has revealed her cinematic crushes and divulged how she is working on finding a significant other. The 32-year-old New York native has developed a close friendship with another showbiz star, Anthony Ramos, whom she recently co-starred in the Transformers franchise.
The actress has disclosed interesting details about her life from high school to college, where she studied for her acting career. She graduated from Pace University with a B.A. in Theater in 2013 and has since taken Hollywood by storm with her stellar performances, some of which have earned her prestigious awards.
Dominique Fishback on How She Is Manifesting to Get a Husband
During a “CBS Mornings” appearance in May 2023, Fishback candidly talked about her love life. When she was asked how she approached matters of the heart, the actress answered:
“I’m reading the book called ‘Calling in “The One.”‘ You have to identify the ways in which you’ve contributed to the success or failures of your past relationship.”
She explained it was not about blaming someone else for what went wrong in a relationship but about “identifying your triggers and how you show up to things.” The book that the movie star referenced was released in February 2004, authored by Katherine Woodward.
Woodward detailed her relationship experiences to show other women that finding a genuine romantic partner and having an everlasting relationship required women to be open and ready to create a committed and loving marriage full of romance.
In a Twitter post from April 15, 2023, Fishback commented on Tiffany Pennywell and Brett Brown’s romance sparked on the reality show, “Love Is Blind.” She tweeted, “I’m so inspired by tiff and Brett. I’m so excited to find my husband too #loveisblind. [sic].”
Dominique Fishback Is a Romantic
Fishback is a romantic at heart. In a February 2021 interview, she revealed that she carries a journal filled with poetry, self-reflection on life, and romance. The actress divulged that she has been writing poetry since she was 12.
She has happily requested to have one of her past poems for her work on-screen, including “Judas and the Black Messiah,” starring Daniel Kaluuya and Jesse Plemons. She portrays Deborah Johnson in the movie, and Kaluuya plays Fred Hampton.
Fishback shared the first time the on-screen couple kissed and the first time Johnson saw her love interest, she had penned a poem about it. When asked about her cinematic crush, the actress, producer, and writer, who has starred alongside Machine Gun Kelly, mentioned several famous men, including singer Omarion and Kevin Costner. “I’m a romantic,” she said.
Dominique Fishback’s Friendship with Co-star Anthony Ramos
Fishback recently starred in “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” with her friend, actor Anthony Ramos. During an interview in June 2023, the on-screen duo revealed they were pals before starring in the blockbuster film.
She said it was “incredible” for them to represent their hometown Brooklyn while working together in the movie. While Ramos stated that it was “fun” and a “blessing” to be able to achieve that together, adding he and Fishback had “been friends for a long time.”
That became a light issue on set as the director would remind them that their characters did not know each other yet once they started bringing their friendship on-screen. Before the movie, Fishback revealed she and Ramos planned on collaborating by writing for a play, so it was surreal after learning they would be working together on the film.
Dominique Fishback’s Personality in High School
Regarding her work as an actress, Fishback is very particular about what she is willing to do. In the psychological thriller, “Swarm,” starring Chloe Bailey, Donald Glover, and Billie Eilish, there was a sex scene of her, but it was not shown on-screen.
When asked in a March 2023 interview whether that was intentional, the BAFTA Award winner revealed the scene was not intended to show on camera. “But I also wouldn’t have done it because it was unnecessary, and I was giving a lot of myself in so many ways to this role,” said the television star.
Fishback developed an interest in the arts from a young age and was encouraged by her mother to pursue acting. As a teenager, she was very active, especially in high school, where she was famous.
The actress once divulged that she played basketball, flag football, was a Valedictorian, and was a prom queen. “I was a nerd too,” she concluded. Thinking her high school fame was a fluke, she wanted to become homecoming queen in college and succeeded.
